How to Uninstall Office

An easy guide to follow and to show you how to uninstall any previous version of  Office, before you install your new software. this guide is suitable for the most popular versions of Office including Office 2019, Office 2016 Office for Student, Business and Professional Version, as well as Office 365 Version. 

Information: 
Whenever you uninstalling Office, it only removes the Office applications from your computer, it doesn't remove any files, documents, or workbooks you created using the  previous apps.

How to uninstall Office from Windows 10 PC

  1. Open the Control Panel by typing "control panel" in the search box on the task bar
  2. Select Programs
  3. Select Programs and Features
  4. Right click on your current Office Suite and choose Uninstall
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstall
  6. Restart your PC

How to uninstall Office from Windows 8 PC

  1. Right Click the Start button (windows icon in lower left corner of your screen)
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Select Programs and Features
  4. Right click on your current Office Suite and choose Uninstall
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstall
  6. Restart your PC

How to uninstall Office from Windows 7 PC

  1. Click Start
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Select Programs and Features
  4. Right click on your current  Office Suite and choose Uninstall
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the uninstall
  6. Restart your PC

How to remove Office application on MAC

Please note, you must be signed in as an administrator on the Mac or provide an administrator name and password to complete these steps.

  1. Open Finder
  2. Using the Command button select all of the Office for Mac Applications
  3. Ctrl+click over an application you selected
  4. Select Move to Trash
  5. Open Finder
  6. Press Command + Shift + H
  7. On the Finder menu at the top of the page, click View > As List
  8. On the Finder menu at the top of the page, click View >Show View Options
  9. Within View Options, select show Library Folders and click Save
  10. Go back to Finder
  11. Open Library > Containers and ctrl+click each of these folders and Move to Trash. 

  12. Warning For this Step: 
    Outlook data will be removed when you move the three folders listed in this step to Trash. You should back up these folders before you delete them.

    Click the back arrow to go back to the Library folder and open Group Containers. Ctrl+click each of these folders if present, and Move to Trash.

  13. Remove from Dock and Restart
    If you put any of the Office applications in your Dock, go to each one and ctrl + click > Options > Remove from Dock.
  14. Restart your Mac to complete the uninstall
